What is the best way to get a flat stomach?
I am slim size 10 but no matter what i do i can’t get a flat stomach do i need to do crunches sit ups? i go to the gym and do running weights etc but not sure what to do please advice, cheers!

First: When I hear The word Crunches…I laugh… Why?
Because, when The average Joe or Jane does a crunch, They are wasting Their time.
Reason why… The average person does a crunch like a sit-up, meaning—They lay Their head back down on the floor…
Wrong- Wrong—- Wrong—
If you are not feeling intense pain— by the 4th or 5th crunch, then you are simply doing them wrong…
15-prefect crunches are in my opinion the same as 150 sit-ups..
There have been times I have been to the gym, and witnessed people doing what they called crunches…
(and helped them prefect their exercise)
Now: This person was doing about 30-to35 before my help, after my help, they could not do even 5 of mine…
But! They had never felt such a muscle work-out in their stomach…
(secret) always keep your muscle strained, meaning keep the gravity and pressure on the area your working on, if you come to far foward, then the stress is relived, if you go to far back as (putting your head back down) again the pressure is relived… So make up your mind, Pain=Gain.
(also mix up your stomach work out, like twisting while doing crunches, and lifting one leg off the floor, etc…
(remember—you have to have PAIN…)

Diet and exercise are the most important things. Eat healthy and do at least 30 mins of cardio exercise daily and you should see a difference.
It’s probably best you see a personal trainer, or make a proper regime if you are really serious about this.

There is one important aspect of a crunch that I think a lot of people don’t know. As you crunch, exhale deeply and FLEX AS HARD AS YOU CAN and hold it for about a second or more. Then release. Do about 15 of those and you’ll immediately feel the difference.
Here’s my ab routine.
15 crunches as described, immediately followed with 15 leg raises. At least 2 sets.
The same exhale/flex principle applies to the leg raises. And to really get the most out of them, try this, if you can: once your legs are vertical, lift your butt off the floor like you’re trying to touch the ceiling with your feet.
This routine takes just a few minutes and it feels great. Have fun with it!

Best way forward get a gym ball (core) sit on the edge of that and you will feel the pull on you belly muscles, do sit ups this way lay back on the ball using only your belly muscles to pull you up and lay back down – as the other guys says after 4/5 of these you will be feeling it. Also to get the hips in order sit a little further up the ball and do twists to the left and right – making sure your elbows touch the side of the ball. Also the heavy gym ball hold on to that and do squats.
