How do you lose belly fat and inches off your waist?
I’m 16 and i want to loose some belly fat and some inches off my waist. What’s a good diet and exercise to loose them? Btw I’m lactose intolerant and i have asthma.
At 16, you can start by becoming 17. You are young enough that with a balanced diet, you can do very little and loose cutaneous fat.
However, here are the basics.
Diet:
no simple sugars, and no fructose (sucrose.) You can eat all of the rice and bread you want, although of the two, rice is a better choice, as it is more nutritious and most types are more fibrous.
A simple diet I recommend to strangers is "the zone" Although I would make modifications based on more recent medicine, such as the advice with sugars above.
Plenty of vegetables.
A little meat. The fat to muscle ratio doesn’t matter much. But fatty soups and sauces are ill advised.
Lifestyle:
of course plenty of exercise, and don’t let your asthma stop you. You will need to learn your limits, and how to surpass them. If it is exercise induced asthma, I recommend brief (20 minute) heavy exertion interspersed with longer (30 minute) light exertion, you could cut these numbers in half, but the total time should be about 2 hrs per day minimum. The main thing is to be moving and active, not achieve the perfect workout. Activities with young kids are excellent for this.
Be happy! Do things you love, and avoid stress. Don’t carry trouble throughout the day. Solve problems you can (which may be few at 16.) But understand that all those other ones, will come and go. Be more concerned with excelling where you can, and not about what you may be missing/loosing. Life is plenty long, and stress will kill you faster than most other things.
Eat a large breakfast early in the morning, and a small dinner early in the evening. Don’t eat late, don’t skip meals, don’t under eat.
Sleep well (this will also help keep your skin healthy, and improve your asthma.)
Finally, don’t be so concerned with your waist. You may have noticed by appearance, it can change daily. This is normal. Mostly related to muscle tone and water. The real goal is to be healthy. If maintaining high energy output (metabolic output) and a healthy digestion (input) and staying disease free leave you with a slight waist, you should love it, as health is the real goal. Spend much more time developing a strong and happy spirit, and healthy life, and your body will reward you for decades. Spend the next year dieting and fretting about your looks, and it will only cost you (thankfully, only a little, unless you go to extremes.) The strongest example I can give of this. Go around and look at the 30 year olds. How some of them look twice their age, and some look ten years younger. beauty tricks aside, this is a strong indication of the health of their psyche and organs, although staying out of the sun helps too.

All the doctors and nutritionists say targeted weight loss is unlikely, specifically in the waist and belly zones, but I achieved it with acai berry. I acknowledge they say that pills won’t work, however they definitely worked for me, and they have been shown on CNN too. There’s a free trial going on at the moment at http://batomt.masterfitness.info , why not check it out, what’s the worst that could happen?

Eat lots of vegetables and lean meat and some fruit and whole grains. Get plenty of exercise and pull in your stomach muscles for about 10 seconds several times a day. Do not drink sodas, but drink lots of water.
