Why Should You Lose Belly Fat

Research indicates that visceral fat may be even worse for you than any other type of fat you carry. It is important to lose belly fat because it associated with heart disease, diabetes, and many other medical conditions. While it isn’t good to carry any extra weight anyway, belly fat seems to be even more harmful than other types. The good news is that belly fat is easier to lose than other fats. Visceral fat is more metabolically active than other fats and therefore it responds faster. The best things that you can do to lose belly fat include a change in diet and an increase in cardiovascular activity. Diets rich in whole grains, low fat meats, dairy products, fruits, and vegetables are ideal for losing belly fat. Whole grains take longer to digest and leave you feeling full longer. It isn’t realistic for most people to only eat whole grains, but some changes are easy to make. Switching to whole wheat bread instead of white is simple enough. Eating fresh fruit rather than a fruit roll up is a no-brainer. Reducing your intake of refined foods will help, no matter how small the changes. As you start to eat in a healthier manner you are likely to see your energy level increase. Make good use of this benefit and add some exercise to your day. Getting out for a walk several days a week will help you lose belly fat even faster. Try to ignore the scale and take measurements instead. With the new muscle you are building you may see changes on a measuring tape before you see them on the scale. Hardest of all is not to lose hope. Losing belly fat is part of an overall change in your health and lifestyle–changes take time. Even if you slip up from time to time, keep focused on your goal, your work will pay off eventually.

How should I lose belly fat?
I think I might be overweight. I’m 14 and I’m about 5’8 and I weigh around 160 lbs and I have belly fat. Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of crunches and push-ups and I’ve been cutting out unhealthy foods. I’ve heard cardio is also necessary to help lose weight, but I get shortness of breath easily from running, so should I go biking instead? Please give me recommendations on how to lose weight and excess fat.

Belly fat must be lost through "cardio" I’d suggest running, but if you can’t run then aerobics, fast walking, biking…etc It has to be an exercise that raises your heart rate for at LEAST 15 minutes or more. So start slow with 15 minutes for a week, then go to 30 minutes for the second week, and progress from there. Then add your abdominal exercises in at the end of each workout.

If you diet and do not exercise you are NOT changing your bodies ability to BURN FAT. You have to exercise. Your body basically needs a tune-up. ONLY excercise can do that in combination with heathy eating.

Yeah, biking would be good. Walking would be alright too.

Eating healthy would not hurt either…

It is not an easy task. It took me about six months to lose the belly fat. Since you are running out of breath, we have to take it one step at a time.

Step#1) Walking on an empty stomach early in the morning. Start with ten minutes and work your way up to thirty minutes a day and do it for ten days.
Come back, drink a lot of water. Watch your diet. Dont eat meat at all. Salads only.

Step#2) After ten days, start jogging. Start with twenty minutes a day and increase it up to 30-45 minutes every day.
Water, water, water. Nothing fattening. No burgers, no fries, no steaks. Steamed vegetables mixed with garlic. Do it for a month.

Step # 3) After a month, start running. Start with ten minutes and increase it to thirty minutes a day.
    Water, water, water.
Swimming in the pool after running I highly recommend.
Eat just fruit and vegetables. Watermelon would be very good, eat a lot of apples and steamed vegetables( carrot, broccoli, green pepper is very good).

And in two months doing what I am telling you will result in weight loss of about fifteen to twenty pounds. No more belly fat for you.

Cardio is the best way to get rid of belly fat, situps and crunches didnt do much for me. Try jogging, jumping jacks, climbing stairs and when you feel out of breath take a break and try again when you feel up to it.
